Job description

Street Haven At The Crossroads is a non-profit organization based in Toronto, ON. Our mission is to offer pathways for women experiencing or at risk of homelessness through a variety of integrated services, including emergency shelter, supportive housing, residential and community services, and adult education at the Learning Centre. We are committed to assisting the most vulnerable women in our community and providing them with the resources they need to rebuild their lives.

Role Description

This is a volunteer role for a Pride Event Planner at Street Haven At The Crossroads. The Event Planner will be responsible for planning and organizing pride events, both in-person and virtual, to celebrate and support the LGBTQ+ community. The day-to-day tasks include coordinating with vendors and sponsors, managing event budgets, promoting events, and ensuring a successful and inclusive experience for all attendees. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with some work at our Toronto location and flexibility for remote work.

Qualifications

  • Experience in event planning and management
  • Ability to budget and manage financial resources
  • Sales and marketing skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Knowledge of LGBTQ+ issues and a commitment to inclusivity
