Job Description

Our client, a leading 3PL freight brokerage, is seeking a results-driven Pricing & Operations Manager to oversee daily operations, develop pricing strategies, and coordinate cross-functionally. Reporting to the VP/Director of Operations, this full-time in-office role involves managing the entire load lifecycle, creating competitive pricing models, and supporting sales teams and carrier relationships. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and demonstrates analytical rigor, process focus, and a commitment to service excellence. Success in this position requires operational leadership, commercial acumen, and a strong understanding of technology and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee all aspects of the load lifecycle, including booking, dispatch, tracking, issue resolution, and documentation.
  2. Lead the operations team in real-time problem-solving and escalation management to ensure high service levels for customers and carriers.
  3. Manage RFQs and tenders, developing pricing models using historical data, market indexes, and profit goals.
  4. Collaborate with sales to develop competitive, profitable quotes and maintain a centralized pricing matrix.
  5. Monitor RFQ win/loss ratios and margin performance for continuous improvement.
  6. Support client onboarding, quoting, and urgent load coverage as the operational liaison for sales.
  7. Develop and maintain carrier programs, including scorecards, compliance vetting, and rate negotiations.
  8. Implement SOPs, automation tools, and dashboards to enhance operational efficiency and continuous improvement.

Core Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years in 3PL logistics or freight brokerage, with at least 2 years in operations/dispatch management and sales collaboration.
  • Experience managing RFQs/tenders for mid to large enterprise clients.
  • Proficiency with TMS platforms (e.g., Truckmate, Rose Rocket), load boards (DAT, Truckstop), and CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce).
  • Expertise in strategic pricing, margin optimization, and RFQ response management.
  • Strong data analysis skills, process automation experience, and KPI tracking proficiency.
  • Highly organized, analytical, adaptable, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
