Job description

Join Amrize as a Preventive and Reliability Maintenance Coordinator and help construct what's next. If you're ready to put your skills to work on projects that matter — and build a career with a company that’s building North America — we want to hear from you!

About The Role

As a key strategic leader at the Bath Cement Plant, the Preventive and Reliability Maintenance Coordinator spearheads the transition from reactive to world-class proactive maintenance. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing a comprehensive, high-performance asset reliability and predictive maintenance (PdM) strategy. By championing Industry 4.0 technologies, advanced data analytics, and a defect-elimination culture, this role maximizes the safety, availability, and lifecycle value of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation assets across the plant.

What You’ll Accomplish
  • Reliability Leadership: Design and execute a world-class asset reliability strategy to continuously optimize plant equipment availability, efficiency, and performance.
  • Defect Elimination & RCFA: Lead defect elimination initiatives, Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), FMEA, and Pareto analyses to achieve and exceed MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) and NAI (Net Asset Integration) targets.
  • Predictive Maintenance (PdM): Oversee and continuously optimize advanced predictive and preventive maintenance programs, integrating vibration analysis, lubrication excellence, and thermography.
  • Work Cycle & Shutdown Strategy: Drive the effectiveness of the 13-week master maintenance schedule, major shutdown/turnaround planning, and daily execution workflows.
  • Modern Telemetry Integration: Leverage advanced condition monitoring telemetry, IoT sensors, and predictive algorithms to anticipate failures and optimize maintenance intervals.
  • Critical Spares & Contingency: Develop and manage critical spare parts strategies, safety stock targets, and contingency plans for high-risk assets.
  • SAP/CMMS Optimization: Champion the digitization of maintenance records, ensuring accurate master equipment data, specification files, and history tracking in SAP.
  • Cross-Functional Synergy: Partner closely with production and process departments to coordinate maintenance windows and integrate first-level operator inspections.
  • Budgeting & Capital Justification: Build and justify data-driven annual maintenance budgets based on asset criticality, condition data, and equipment lifecycle history.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
What We’re Looking For
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Reliability Engineering (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Required Work Experience: 5+ years of maintenance and reliability experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment (cement, mining, or chemical process industries preferred).
  • Preferred Training / Certifications: CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional), CRL (Certified Reliability Leader), or CAT II/III Vibration Analyst certification is highly preferred.
  • Systems & Software: Mastery of SAP PM, Process Explorer (IP21), and data analytics tools (Excel, Power BI).
  • Predictive Technologies: Condition monitoring devices (vibration collector/analyzer, oil analysis, thermography, ultrasound).
  • Machinery Expertise: Hot/cold kiln alignments, gear systems (e.g., Symetro, girth gears), and critical tolerance alignments.
  • Core Competencies: Action Oriented, Conflict Management, Communication Skills (Oral & Written), Customer Focus, Drive for Results, Informing, Planning & Priority Setting, Problem Solving & Decision Quality.
Additional Requirements
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
