Qualifications
Registration with APEGA as a P.Eng. is required.
6–12 years Oil & Gas/Oil Sands experience, 4+ years in pressure equipment design.
Strong knowledge of ABSA, CSA B51, ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel codes/ASME B31, API 520/530/579.
Responsibilities
Perform in-house engineering/calculation for pressure equipment alterations/re-rating.
Provide regulatory expertise including squad check review of engineering deliverables to ensure Code and ABSA compliance.
Perform “Audit Based Design Reviews” (ABDR) for registration of piping systems as part of Canadian Natural’s Owner User Manual and ABDR Program accredited by ABSA.
Review of alteration packages for pressure equipment.
Review of scope of work to issue “Decision Record”; documenting regulatory decisions/requirements.
Participate and contribute to Oil Sands OPPSD/OMOPP projects.
Liaise between ABSA Design Survey and internal business units.
