Job summary

Massilly North America Inc. is seeking an on-site Cap Line Operator to operate, adjust, monitor, and repair cap line equipment across three shifts.

The role includes lubrication, die setting, quality checks, and maintaining production records. You will monitor for mechanical/electrical issues, participate in preventative maintenance, verify tinplate coding, and report any food safety/quality problems to supervision.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 40 lbs and stand for the entire shift.
• Proven mechanical ability; experience operating manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with hand tools and measuring devices is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate, adjust, monitor and repair cap line equipment.
• Lubricate cap line equipment and remove excess lubricant.
• Set dies in scroll shears and presses; adjust compound placement to standards.
• Stay alert to mechanical or electrical problems and prevent equipment damage.
• Participate in preventative maintenance activities to avoid breakdowns.
• Record production loads and ensure proper tinplate/enamel code IDs.

Job description

What you’ll do:

• Operate, adjust, monitor and repair cap line equipment
• Responsible for lubrication of cap line equipment and removal of excess lubricant
• Set dies in scroll shears and presses
• Adjust compound placement to required standards
• Stay alert to developing mechanical or electrical problems, and take precautionary measures to prevent equipment damage
• Participate in and communicate preventative maintenance activities to avoid unscheduled breakdowns
• Put transfer tickets on finished loads of caps
• Maintain production, operational records and tinplate/enamel code ID controls
• Accurately set code, date stamps and check for legibility
• Verify correct tinplate code being processed
• Recognize defects at any point of production and takes appropriate corrective measures
• Visually inspects and gauges, verifying that product meets specifications
• Performing the required quality checks within specification at the defined frequency
• Reacting to repetitive spoilage (ex: Pressco camera, wicket mark, etc.) to prevent recurring defects within your control
• Responsible to report Food Safety and Quality problems to direct Supervisor
• Provide training on as a needed basis

Our facility runs three shifts - must be able to work all three

• Days ( 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m)
• Afternoons ( 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m)
• Nights ( 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m)

What we offer:

• Wage Increase After Training Period (Training Rate $26.00/hr. Fully Trained Rate $27.32/hr.)
• Shift Premiums - Afternoons $0.50/hr, Nights $1.00/hr
