Job summary

Kibbi in Canada (Calgary) is seeking a press operator to join our in-house printing team. You will advise the press crew on product specs, mount plates, monitor colour and viscosity, and assist with in-line finishing tasks. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to train apprentices.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of printing experience, strong accuracy, and organizational skills. This is a permanent position with flexible morning shifts and 34–40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
• Secondary school graduation certificate is required.
• Candidates should be accurate and organized with good judgement.

Responsibilities

• Advise press crew on product specifications or material requirements.
• Mount plates or cylinders and adjust as needed.
• Fill ink fountains and monitor colour and viscosity.
• Estimate costs.
• Instruct apprentices.
• Monitor press runs for quality using the control console.
• Remove and clean plates and cylinders at end of press run.
• Set up and adjust in-line binding and finishing equipment.
• Direct press crew to operate and shut down press.
