Job summary

Multimatic in Vaughan, Canada seeks a qualified forklift operator to support press operations and production flow. You will perform pre-operational inspections, restock presses, transport finished goods, and maintain orderly storage areas while ensuring safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid propane forklift certification with proven experience operating a counterbalance lift truck.
• Experience operating overhead cranes is required; valid overhead crane certification is considered an asset.
• Demonstrate a minimum of two (2) years of forklift or material handling experience (preferred).
• Demonstrate basic math skills for counting, inventory handling, and material verification.
• Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document daily pre-operational inspections of forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to support press operations and production flow.
• Restock presses with required materials and arrange plated stampings in designated storage areas.
• Remove stamped parts from presses and transport finished goods to staging or shipping areas.
• Organize, return, and maintain bins, racks, and material storage locations.
• Ensure lift truck maintenance, servicing, and reporting requirements are met in accordance with company standards.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and organized work area to support a safe manufacturing environment.
• Communicate regularly with supervisors and production teams to identify and resolve material flow or equipment issues.
• Operate barcode scanning systems and print labels accurately and efficiently.
• Follow all workplace health and safety guidelines, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Provide general administrative and secretarial support to management as assigned.
• Support and practice KAIZEN principles and participate in related activities (GEAR).
