Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials NA is seeking a warehouse associate to move materials, load/unload trucks, and prepare orders using a forklift. The role requires experience in warehousing, especially in metals, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Strong attendance and basic math and reading skills are required.

The position emphasizes safety, cycle counts, and compliance with 6S and ISO initiatives, with potential for additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Move raw materials, finished products, and equipment using forklift.
• Load and unload trucks and verify items loaded/unloaded.
• Select and package products to fill customer orders.
• Perform cycle counts and identify defective material.
• Assist with general cleaning and housekeeping of the warehouse.
• Inspect forklift at start of shift and report issues.
• Support health, safety, ISO and 6S initiatives.

Job Summary

Responsible for movement of raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the
facility using a forklift truck. May also utilize cranes, hoists, hand trucks, and other moving
equipment to meet job requirements. May perform other general warehouse functions in
support of operational requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

• Accurately remove and stock product, customer’s product, and various supplies according to inventory plan
• Accurately select product to fill customer orders and package them properly
• Load and unload trucks and verify that correct items are loaded and unloaded
• Picking, processing and packing orders, also may be required to cut orders on Kaltenbach saw
• Cycle Counts
• Identify, hold and segregate defective material
• Complete paperwork per work instructions, when required
• Perform general clean up
• Inspect forklift at the beginning of every shift; report issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel
• Participate, support and comply with all health, safety, ISO and 6S Initiatives and requirements
• Assist in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead
• Train others when required

• Previous forklift experience
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions

Preferred Requirements:

• Use of hand held measuring tools
• Basic computer skills and knowledge, such as with database programs and Microsoft Office programs.
• LEAN and/or Quality Control experience

Hiring Range: $20-$21 hourly
