Job summary

IWK Health in Sydney, NS is seeking a PPAS Clinical Interventionist for the Provincial Preschool Autism Services. The role supports preschool children (0–6) with autism, coordinating goal-driven interventions and family education within an interprofessional team.

Reporting to Clinical Manager, you will facilitate goal setting, provide assessments, and supervise implementers. A Master’s in a clinical field and BCBA/registration eligibility are preferred; travel will be required.

Qualifications

• Master's in Clinical Psychology, School Psychology, Speech Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, or BCBA required.
• Registration or eligible for registration with the appropriate Nova Scotia body is required.
• Two years of recent experience working with children with autism (0-6 years) and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment related to family goals and child needs.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate intervention plans.
• Supervise Program Implementers within intervention teams.
• Contribute to family education and interprofessional collaboration.
