Job summary

FIREFLY in Kenora is seeking a full-time Positive Behaviour Interventionist to work with children and youth with ASD, collaborating with psychologists, pediatricians, therapists, and other professionals.

The role involves implementing evidence-based interventions, delivering family-centered supports across homes, schools and community settings, reporting to a Senior Clinician, with clinical coaching from an RBA, and a strong emphasis on teamwork and independence.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of typical and atypical child development.
• Experience in early childhood development and ASD.
• Excellent communication and engagement skills with children, youth and families.
• Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to travel between service delivery sites.

Responsibilities

• Implement recommendations from behaviour programs under supervision.
• Communicate progress to the supervising RBA in written and verbal form.
• Maintain documentation in accordance with policy and program guidelines.
• Engage families, staff, and community partners based on needs.
• Deliver in-home, school, and community supports as required.
• Travel between service delivery sites as needed.
• Uphold group/team processes and agency values.
