As a Presales Security Expert-Federal, your responsibilities include:

1. Pre-Sales Support: Collaborate with customers to understand their challenges and requirements. Provide tailored solutions and demonstrate Fortinet products as the primary technical expert during pre-sales.
2. Post-Sales Support: Offer technical expertise during and after sales, assisting with deployment and integration, and collaborating with support and development teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
3. Technical Presentations & Demos: Deliver product demos and presentations to various stakeholders, including Fortinet channel partners.
4. RFP Support: Review RFIs and RFPs, align solutions with customer needs, and collaborate with internal teams to craft comprehensive responses.
5. Proof of Concept/Solution: Lead or assist in deploying PoCs, ensuring alignment with business and technical goals, and document integration approaches.
6. Continuous Learning and Market Intelligence: Stay updated on cybersecurity trends, create technical marketing collateral, and maintain expertise in Fortinet’s offerings.
7. Account Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and prospects.
8. Travel: Travel within the region and occasionally to other regions as needed.

Required Skills:

1. 7+ years’ pre-sales support experience as a security expert or systems engineer.
2. 3+ years’ experience with the Government of Canada.
3. 3+ years’ experience responding to RFPs.
4. FCSS/NSE7 certification or higher; additional certifications are advantageous.
5. Deep understanding of industry standards, compliance frameworks, and government-specific requirements.
6. Excellent communication, presentation, technical, and business skills.
7. Proficiency in designing network and security solutions, with deep knowledge of technologies such as secure networking, SD-WAN, cloud security, IAM, network access control, web security, endpoint security, email security, SIEM/SOAR, and cryptography.
8. Previous vendor or reseller experience is a plus.
9. Proficiency in French and English.
10. Eligibility for Secret Level II security clearance.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering.
