Job summary

Alt is seeking a dedicated laundry attendant to ensure spotless bedding and guest comfort in a hotel setting. The role focuses on washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens while maintaining a clean and safe work environment during the night shift.

The candidate will demonstrate physical stamina, independence, and teamwork, with flexibility to work weekends and holidays. Prior hotel experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a similar position or hotel industry is an asset.
• Good physical fitness and ability to stand, bend, lift and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort and inspect used bedding.
• Operate washing machines and dryers per procedures.
• Fold, hang and stack clean linen for distribution.
• Iron items to maintain neat appearance.
• Manage storage and rotation of linen and monitor inventory.

We're looking for a caring laundry attendant who loves immaculate whiteness. This member of our team ensures the comfort and well-being of our guests by maintaining their bedding. He/she respects safety and hygiene regulations and works with a positive attitude to maintain a pleasant, clean and safe working environment day after day.

Kindly note the schedule for this position will be from 10pm to 6am.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Receive, sort and inspect (stains, wear, damage) used bedding.
• Fill and activate washing machines and dryers according to established procedures.
• Fold, hang and stack clean linen items in an organized manner to facilitate retrieval and distribution.
• Iron items as necessary to maintain a neat appearance.
• Ensure the storage and rotation of clean linen and the organization of facilities by monitoring inventory levels and reporting any malfunctions.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Experience in a similar position or in the hotel industry, an asset
• Good physical fitness: standing for long periods and ability to bend, lift and perform repetitive tasks
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision and collaborating as part of a team
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays, as required
