Job summary

Germain Hôtels is seeking a caring laundry attendant to maintain bedding and ensure guest comfort by upholding safety and hygiene standards. The role requires standing for long periods, ability to lift and perform repetitive tasks, and a proactive team player attitude.

This position follows a 10pm to 6am schedule. You will work closely with housekeeping to keep linens clean, organized, and available for guests, contributing to a pleasant and safe hotel environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or experience considered in lieu.
• Experience in a similar position or in the hotel industry is an asset.
• Good physical fitness: standing for long periods, bending, lifting, and repetitive tasks.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort and inspect used bedding for stains, wear or damage.
• Operate washing machines and dryers per procedures.
• Fold, hang and stack clean linen for easy retrieval and distribution.
• Iron items as needed to maintain neat appearance.
• Maintain storage and rotation of clean linen and monitor inventory levels.

We're looking for a caring laundry attendant who loves immaculate whiteness. This member of our team ensures the comfort and well-being of our guests by maintaining their bedding. He/she respects safety and hygiene regulations and works with a positive attitude to maintain a pleasant, clean and safe working environment day after day.

Kindly note the schedule for this position will be from 10pm to 6am.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Receive, sort and inspect (stains, wear, damage) used bedding.
• Fill and activate washing machines and dryers according to established procedures.
• Fold, hang and stack clean linen items in an organized manner to facilitate retrieval and distribution.
• Iron items as necessary to maintain a neat appearance.
• Ensure the storage and rotation of clean linen and the organization of facilities by monitoring inventory levels and reporting any malfunctions.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Experience in a similar position or in the hotel industry, an asset
• Good physical fitness: standing for long periods and ability to bend, lift and perform repetitive tasks
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision and collaborating as part of a team
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays, as required
