Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare and cook food in accordance with corporate standards, ensuring quality service in a high-volume environment in Pouce Coupe, BC. You will set up mise en place, label and store items, maintain safety practices, and collaborate with other kitchen teams.

A valid Food Safety Certification and a cooking certificate are required, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Proven cooking experience, including experience as a restaurant cook or prep cook.
• Food Safety Certification required.
• Certificate from a recognized cooking school.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, pre-cook and/or cook food products as directed.
• Prepare mise en place and other products for high volume production.
• Clean kitchen equipment after use per health and safety policies.
• Label, date, store and rotate food and beverage products.
• Communicate with appropriate operational departments.
• Report maintenance or safety issues to supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
