Job summary

Murphy Hospitality Group's Brickhouse Kitchen & Bar is seeking a prep cook to join our kitchen team. You will complete daily food preparation, maintain quality and timely prep, and help sustain a clean, safe workspace in a fast-paced environment.

We value a positive, outgoing team player who can multitask, adapt to day, evening, and weekend shifts, and communicate effectively with cooks and chefs. Culinary training or experience is an asset, with opportunities for growth and development.

Qualifications

• Experience in cooking or food preparation is preferred.
• A culinary diploma or degree is considered an asset.
• Strong communication with kitchen staff is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily preparation of food.
• Ensure food is prepped with high quality and in a timely fashion.
• Maintain the kitchen cleanliness and sanitation.
• Organize work areas as well as storage areas.
• Maintain a high standard of safety and sanitation.
• Communicate with kitchen staff, cooks, sous chef, and the Head Chef.
• Follow instructions as directed by the Sous Chef or Head Chef.
• Assist in all areas of the kitchen as required.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Follow all operations policies and procedures.
• Work alongside the restaurant team to establish a safe and fun atmosphere.
