Job summary

Brickhouse Kitchen & Bar, part of Murphy Hospitality Group in Charlottetown, is seeking a Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. You will complete daily food preparation, maintain high standards of quality and sanitation, and communicate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely service.

You bring flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends, enjoy a fast-paced environment, and have a positive, energetic attitude.

Qualifications

• Cooking or prep experience is an asset.
• A culinary diploma or degree is considered an asset.
• Positive and outgoing personality is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily preparation of food
• Ensure food is prepped with high quality and in a timely fashion
• Maintain the kitchen cleanliness and sanitation
• Organize work areas as well as storage areas
• Maintain a high standard of safety and sanitation
• Communicate with kitchen staff, cooks, sous chef, and the Head Chef
• Follow instructions as directed by the Sous Chef or Head Chef
• Assist in all areas of the kitchen as required
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Follow all operations policies and procedures
• Work alongside the restaurant team to establish a safe and fun atmosphere

As a Prep Cook, You Will
