Job summary

About You and this Role

Dow has an opportunity available for an Administrative Specialist to join our team in Prentiss (AB, CAN). We are looking for a highly organized administrative professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting leaders, teams, and business operations. In this role, you will provide broad administrative support while exercising discretion, independent judgment, and strong organizational skills. You will serve as a key point of contact, coordinate critical activities, manage priorities, support projects, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance team effectiveness and business results.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a wide range of professional administrative support to leaders, teams, and business groups while working with limited supervision.
  • Coordinate and manage meetings, conference rooms, visitor logistics, catering, agendas, presentation materials, and meeting notes as needed.
  • Facilitate effective communication across the organization by leveraging knowledge of business structures, processes, and functional networks.
  • Manage complex calendars and proactively resolve scheduling conflicts to support leader and team priorities.
  • Arrange domestic and international business travel, including flights, accommodations, transportation, restaurant reservations, and detailed travel itineraries.
  • Process expense reports, monitor and track spending against budgets, resolve discrepancies, and provide reporting support to budget managers and cost center owners.
  • Maintain SharePoint sites, Microsoft Teams content, documents, and records in accordance with company guidelines and information management requirements.
  • Serve as a resource for office technology, administrative processes, vendor coordination, and day-to-day operational support while helping troubleshoot issues and answer questions.
  • Participate in projects both independently and as a team member, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, overcome obstacles, and deliver high-quality results.
  • Support a positive, safe, and productive work environment by building strong relationships, communicating effectively, sharing information proactively, and promoting continuous improvement.
  • Support the public affairs team and community engagement activities by organizing and attending off site events while representing Dow in the community.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
  • A minimum requirement for this position is the ability to work legally in Canada.
  • No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including any type of permanent residency support.
