Gordon Ramsay Steak in Richmond, BC is seeking a front-line Host to welcome guests and manage seating in a high-energy, premium dining environment. You will coordinate reservations, present menus, and support the serving team to deliver an elevated guest experience.

The role requires a minimum of 1 year in hospitality, flexible availability for evenings and holidays, and strong organizational and communication skills. OpenTable experience is an asset.

Qualifications

• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Experience using OpenTable is an asset.
• At least 1 year in a restaurant or lounge environment.
• Strong organizational skills and independent work ethic.
• Commitment to refined, memorable guest experiences and teamwork.
• Serving It Right certification and ability to clear a criminal record check.

Responsabilités

• Guest Welcome — create a warm, polished welcome for every guest.
• Seating & Menu Presentation — greet and seat guests, present menus professionally.
• Guest Engagement — highlight features, understand dining needs, relay details to team.
• Menu Knowledge — explain menu items, beverages, and preparation methods.
• Service Support — assist serving team to maintain attentive service.
• Opening & Closing Duties — ensure host stand and lounge are guest-ready.
• Waitlist & Reservations — manage waitlists and seating records for smooth flow.
• Strategic Table Allocation — allocate tables to uphold service excellence.
• Operational Support — assist with running food, resetting tables, maintaining rhythm.
• Cross Team Communication — coordinate with back of house and management.
• Allergen & Menu Awareness — stay informed to guide guests accurately.
• Regulatory Compliance — comply with licensing, health and safety standards.
• Additional Duties — perform other duties as assigned.
