Job summary

Overlanders Manufacturing in Abbotsford, BC is seeking a detail-oriented Powder Coater to prepare, coat, and inspect sheet metal components, ensuring a consistent, high-quality finish that supports production goals in a fast-paced environment.

You will set up and operate coating equipment, apply powder coatings, monitor thickness, and perform touch-ups as needed while following safety procedures and working with team members to meet schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience in powder coating or related production environments preferred.
• Knowledge of powder coating processes and equipment.
• Ability to read work orders and follow specifications.
• Strong attention to detail with quality focus.
• Physically capable of standing and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate powder coating equipment, spray guns, and curing ovens safely and efficiently.
• Apply powder coatings to meet required specifications, quality standards, and production schedules.
• Monitor coating thickness, coverage, and finish quality to ensure a consistent, high-quality product.
• Inspect completed parts for defects and perform touch-ups or rework as required.
• Load, unload, and move materials throughout the coating and curing process.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety and housekeeping standards.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of powder coating equipment and tools.
• Read and interpret work orders, production schedules, and coating specifications.
• Track material usage and report equipment issues, shortages, or quality concerns to supervisors.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and continuous improvement objectives.
