Job summary

Careers in Ag is seeking a Professional Painter to join our team in Medicine Hat. You will operate the powder coat painting process, run the blast booth, handle paint guns and hand tools, and manage ovens and compressors to deliver high-quality finishes.

The role requires reading blueprints, keeping a tidy workspace, and ensuring quality per our Quality Manual. Strong organizational skills and 2+ years of paint experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent education.
• Minimum of 2 years of paint and finishing experience; powder coating preferred.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills.
• Ability to understand production instructions and drawings.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand how powder coat painting works.
• Operate the Blast Booth.
• Operate hand tools, grinders, air sanders, and paint guns.
• Operate all facets of the paint ovens.
• Operate the air compressor.
• Read and comprehend blueprints.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices.
• Ensure quality, as outlined in our Quality Manual, is inherent in all tasks performed.
