Job summary

Randstad Canada in Guelph, Ontario is seeking a Safety-focused Buffing & Grinding Operator to join our industrial team. You will operate handheld power tools (angle grinders, die grinders, pneumatic buffers) and overhead cranes to finish metal parts with high quality and precision. Day shift 8:00 AM–4:00 PM with overtime potential.

Starting pay $21.53 per hour, with overtime opportunities. This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork within a supportive, growth‑minded manufacturing

Qualifications

Experience operating buffing and grinding tools in a manufacturing setting.
Proficient in crane operation for heavy material handling.
Commitment to health, safety rules and PPE usage.
Ability to commute to Guelph, ON on a reliable basis.
Willingness to work overtime when production demands rise.

Responsibilities

Safely operate angle grinders, die grinders, and pneumatic buffers to smooth welds and finish metal surfaces.
Use overhead cranes to hoist and move heavy components across the floor.
Perform visual/tactile inspections to ensure parts meet specifications.
Maintain tools and workspace, report defects, and keep area hazard-free.
Collaborate with teams to sustain workflow and uphold safety protocols.
