Job summary

AAA Canada is seeking several Pre-flight Mechanics (AME) to join its team. You will install and repair mechanical components, perform functional tests, and prepare aircraft for flights, including refueling and daily inspections.

The role requires DEC or AEC in aircraft maintenance, AME M2 license (B1 or B2), five years of experience, ability to read technical drawings, and flexibility with shift work. Bilingual French-English is an asset for our multilingual environment.

Qualifications

  • Diploma (D.E.C.) or (A.E.C.) in aircraft maintenance recognized by MICC.
  • AME M2 (B1), B1 (B2) license and a High School Diploma (D.E.S).
  • Five years of experience as an aircraft maintenance mechanic.
  • Able to read technical drawings and maintenance manuals.
  • Flexible regarding shift work.
  • Bilingual French-English in oral and written communication is an asset.

  • Inspect and maintain mechanical systems (e.g. hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, air conditioning, doors, landing gear, flight control, etc.);
  • Prepare aircraft for flights ("refueling", daily inspection);
  • Participate in engine and APU (auxiliary power unit) tests;
  • Perform modifications according to service bulletins while respecting industry standards;
  • May be required to work in a noisy and dusty environment;
  • Participate in the continuous improvement program (SAE);
  • Perform any other related tasks.
Skills and qualifications
  • You have college or vocational training:
  • Diploma (D.E.C.) or (A.E.C.) in aircraft maintenance or an equivalent diploma in aircraft maintenance recognized by the Ministère de l'Immigration et des Communautés Culturelles (MICC)
  • An AME M2 (B1), B1 (B2) license and a High School Diploma (D.E.S)
  • You have five (5) years of experience as an aircraft maintenance mechanic.
  • You are able to read technical drawings and maintenance manuals;
  • You are flexible regarding shift work.
  • Bilingualism (French - English) orally and in writing is an important asset for communication in the client site's multilingual environment and technical documentation.
