Job summary

AAA Canada is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a unionized team in production, health and safety, and quality compliance. You will implement action plans, monitor results, and optimize operations within a major aeronautics-focused environment.

The role emphasizes strong communication, 5S/Kaizen use, and training new staff while ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. On-site position with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in a management training program.
  • 4–5 years of personnel and production management experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • English proficiency is an asset.
  • Mastery of continuous improvement methods (5S, Kaizen).

Responsibilities

  • Lead, inform, develop, and mobilize a unionized team of ~30, addressing production, safety, and procedures.
  • Develop and communicate action plans; monitor achievement.
  • Optimize department operations through improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety rules, standards and methods.
  • Maintain clean work environment and oversee quality inspections.
  • Investigate work accidents and contribute to analyses.
  • Plan daily production with stakeholders and prepare production reports.
  • Ensure material supply and equipment availability per progress and schedule.

Responsibilities:


In your duties, you will be called upon to:



  • Manage, inform, develop, and mobilize a team of unionized employees (+/- 30), both in terms of production, interpersonal relations, health and safety, and compliance with work procedures;

  • Establish action plans, communicate them effectively, and monitor their achievement;

  • Optimize department operations via observed improvement opportunities;

  • Ensure compliance with current safety rules, standards, and work methods;

  • Ensure the cleanliness of the work environment;

  • Ensure quality inspection and the correction of non-conformities;

  • Participate in work accident investigations and analyses;

  • Plan daily production operations alongside stakeholders;

  • Complete required production reports;

  • Ensure material supply and the availability of required equipment based on work progress;

  • Direct the execution of work according to the set schedule and conduct regular follow-ups on the progress of delegated tasks;

  • Actively participate in problem identification and resolution;

  • Apply the collective labor agreement;

  • Ensure compliance with company regulations and apply discipline within the team;

  • Ensure the integration and training of new employees and the evaluation of their performance;

  • Communicate company results during team meetings and provide follow-up.


Your Profile:



  • A diploma from a relevant management training program;

  • Proven experience of 4-5 years in personnel and production management;

  • Excellent communication skills;

  • Proficiency in the Office suite;

  • Proficiency in English (an asset);

  • Mastery of continuous improvement management methods (5S, Kaizen, etc.).
