Job summary

AAA Canada is seeking an Industrial Mechanic in Sainte-Claire to repair, maintain, and install equipment across aerospace, ground transportation, and defense sectors. You’ll work on mechanical, hydraulic, and welding tasks, ensure equipment operation meets standards, and contribute to safety and efficiency on site.

Requires pertinent diploma options and 1 year of experience in industrial mechanics. The role is full-time with day/evening shifts, offering growth and development within a dynamic

Qualifications

  • D.EP. or equivalent in related field with required experience
  • D.E.C. in maintenance analysis and welding with experience
  • C.E.P. in industrial mechanics with experience

  • D.E.P. in automated system electromechanics with mechanics experience

Responsibilities
  • Determines the method for repairing equipment by referring to appropriate documents such as: drawings, diagrams, requests, work instructions, etc. The repair includes mechanical, hydraulic, and welding work (various processes) but excludes electrical repair.
  • Diagnoses equipment problems according to known methods and manufacturer manuals.
  • Performs repairs on equipment, buildings, and tools to meet manufacturer specifications. Verifies operation during and at the end of operations and makes necessary adjustments so that the repair meets requested standards.
  • Installs new equipment according to requested specifications.
  • Performs maintenance operations on equipment and buildings which include periodic equipment inspection, systematic replacement of parts or parts of parts, repair, and restart after a breakdown according to a predetermined schedule.
  • Repairs small mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electric tools according to specifications.
  • Recommends modifications to equipment in order to optimize efficiency (e.g., cost, delay, reliability, safety) and makes modifications.
  • Procures necessary material according to work instructions.
  • Cleans the work environment as well as repaired equipment.
  • Acts as first responder on the scene during environmental and fire emergencies. Determines the method to control the situation according to work instructions and performs, with the help of employees as needed, the necessary tasks to restore the situation and fully correct the emergency situation.
  • Must be accessible at all times during working hours by communication means (e.g., pager, telephone) made available to perform responder work.
  • Completes documents necessary for the work.
  • Trains employees in activities related to the work at the request of the immediate supervisor.

  • D.E.P. in industrial construction and maintenance mechanics and one year of industrial mechanics experience.
