Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Pre-Board Screening Officer in Wabush, NL to help safeguard travellers at the airport. You will screen the travelling public and belongings, control access to restricted areas, and respond to alarms while maintaining security standards.

Qualifications include Canadian citizenship or permanent residency, a high school diploma or GED, a clean criminal record, and eligibility for security clearance.

This Canadian airport is designated bilingual as noted from the passengers who frequent it. This designation mandates that services must be available in both English and French, which is ensured through the provision of bilingual staff. GardaWorld must ensure that an adequate number of screening personnel working at this airport during each shift, are bilingual. We are currently recruiting bilingual personnel to attain the required service levels. Current passenger demographics at this airport are approximately 5% French and 95% English.
