Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Pre-Board Screening Officer to help protect travellers at the Deer Lake/Corner Brook airport locations. You will screen passengers and their belongings and help control access to secure areas.

We offer $24.82 - $26.38/hour upon certification, paid training at $21.82/hour, and a provided uniform. Opportunities for growth and advancement are available within GardaWorld's aviation security teams.

Qualifications

• Must be a Canadian Citizen or a permanent resident.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Have a clean criminal record & eligible to obtain a RAIC (security clearance).
• 18 years of age or older.
• Must be located near Deer Lake or willing to relocate before starting.

Responsibilities

• Screen the travelling public and their belongings.
• Ensure non-permitted items do not enter the secure area.
• Control access to restricted areas.
• Respond to alarms and report any events, illegal acts or violations.
• Participate in emergency operations within the airport.
