Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Pre-Board Screening Officer in Rouyn-Noranda to help ensure the safety of travellers and protect airport security. You will screen passengers and belongings, control access to secured spaces, and respond to alarms while supporting emergency operations.

The role requires a high school diploma, Canadian citizenship, and a clean criminal record. French language skills are required; English is an asset. Training is provided, and uniforms are supplied.

Qualifications

• Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Clean criminal record & eligible to obtain security clearance (RAIC).
• 18 years of age or older.
• French verbal and written; English considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Screen the travelling public and their belongings.
• Ensure non-permitted items do not enter the secure area.
• Control access to restricted areas.
• Respond to alarms and report incidents or violations.
• Participate in emergency operations at the airport.

Qualifications to become a Pre-Board Screening Officer?

• Must be a Canadian Citizen or a permanent resident
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Have a clean criminal record & eligible to obtain a RAIC (security clearance)
• 18 years of age or older
• French verbal and written
• English considered an asset
• Must be located near Rouyn-Noranda or willing to relocate before starting.
