Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a dedicated Pre-Board Screening Officer for Baie-Comeau Airport (YBC). You will screen passengers and belongings, ensuring adherence to national aviation security standards while maintaining vigilance to prevent unauthorized access to secure areas.

Successful candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, a clean criminal record with RAIC eligibility (Canadian Citizenship or PR), and must work on-site at Baie-Come-Au (YBC) in Pointe-Lebel.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• A clean criminal record with eligibility to obtain the required aviation security clearance (RAIC), which requires Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
• Ability to work on-site at Baie-Comeau Airport (YBC) in Pointe-Lebel.

Responsibilities

• Screen passengers and their personal belongings with rigour, professionalism, and in compliance with national aviation security standards.
• Ensure that no prohibited items gain access to secure areas.
• Manage access to restricted areas consistently and with vigilance.
• Remain alert and respond quickly to alarms, incidents, and violations.
• Respond promptly and professionally to security alerts, alarms, and potential threats.
• Accurately document and report security-related incidents, violations, and concerns.
