Job summary

Desjardins in Montreal West is seeking an experienced practice leader to support the unit's manager, provide subject matter expertise, and mentor a group of senior professionals. You will coordinate and lead highly innovative strategic initiatives spanning multiple sectors.

You will help plan priorities, assign projects, and ensure best practices are applied to drive complex analyses and decisions that advance the organization. Strong strategic thinking and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum of eight years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of French is required.
• Advanced proficiency of English due to interactions with partners, members and clients.

Job description

As practice leader, you support your unit's manager by providing subject matter expertise to practitioners. You coordinate and mentor a group of highly experienced professionals and assist with management activities. Your initiatives require extensive knowledge of your field. You lead and serve as integrator on highly innovative strategic initiatives involving multiple sectors. You make recommendations on the planning and execution of operationally and conceptually complex projects and initiatives that require comprehensive analysis and understanding of the organization and line of business. A strategic mindset, organizational savvy and sound decision-making skills are therefore essential. Coordination is critical, so you frequently interact with stakeholders working in a wide range of other fields. You lead, influence and serve as subject matter expert to teams, senior management and decision-making bodies. More specifically, you will be required to:

• Develop your practice area and serve as its leading expert
• Produce and organize complex strategic work and deliverables
• Provide expert support and mentoring with respect to analysis, strategy development, personalized approaches and case management
• Help professionals in your unit develop their skills
• Help plan and manage your unit's priorities and assign employees to projects and initiatives. Assign initiatives and requests and ensure they are completed
• Ensure that practices, processes, methodologies and tools are used properly and efficiently to achieve your unit's objectives.
