Job summary

CDI College – Surrey Campus is seeking an experienced Nursing Instructor (LPN/RN) to deliver practical nursing instruction on-site. This part-time role supports students through instruction, evaluation, and curriculum development in a dynamic campus environment.

The successful candidate will hold active BCCNM registration (LPN or RN), have at least 3 years of clinical experience including acute care, and possess or pursue adult education credentials. Start date ASAP, up to 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Professional Registration: Active, unencumbered registration with BCCNM (as an LPN or RN).
• Clinical Experience: Minimum of 3 years of total clinical experience, with at least 1 year in an acute care setting.
• Education: Degree or diploma from a recognized university or college in nursing or a closely relevant discipline.
• Teaching Credentials: A credential in adult education (or willingness to pursue PID).
• Teaching Experience: Previous teaching, preceptors, or clinical instruction experience.

• Deliver instruction that meets module and program objectives as set out in the curriculum.
• Evaluate student performance fairly, consistently, and in accordance with program standards.
• Contribute to the continuous development and refinement of curriculum and instructional materials.
• Support administrative functions of the campus and participate in college/program activities.
• Monitor, review, and evaluate students during practicum and clinical placements.
• Facilitate learning on management of chronic illnesses, acute presentations, and post-operative care.
• Deliver clinical teaching over scheduled hours and uphold student safety during clinical hours.

Practical Nursing / Nursing Instructor (LPN / RN)
Location: CDI College – Surrey Campus
Job Status: Ongoing Part-Time, Onsite
Start Date: ASAP
Working Hours: Up to 20 hours per week
Pay Rate: $32.00 – $35.00 per hour (LPN) | $40.00 – $42.00 per hour (RN)
Your Day-to-Day

• Instructional Delivery: Deliver instruction that meets module and program objectives as set out in the curriculum.
• Student Evaluation: Evaluate student performance fairly, consistently, and in accordance with program standards.
• Curriculum Support: Contribute to the continuous development and refinement of curriculum and instructional materials.
• Campus & College Operations: Support the administrative functions of the campus to enhance the overall student experience, participating in college and program activities while upholding college standards.
• Clinical Supervision & Practicum: Monitor, review, and evaluate students during practicum and/or clinical placements as required by the program.
• Skill Facilitation: Facilitate learning on exacerbations of chronic illnesses, acute illness presentations, and skill consolidation (including post-operative care, surgical wound management, IV therapy, and focused assessments).
• Acute Care Mentorship: Deliver clinical teaching over scheduled hours, track attendance, enforce student safety during clinical hours, and advocate for student learning in acute care settings.
