Job summary

A Canadian energy company is looking for a qualified Powerline Technician to perform a range of maintenance tasks on overhead and underground lines. Candidates must have an Interprovincial Journeyperson Powerline Technician Certificate and a valid Class 1A driver's licence. Strong communication and physical ability are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to safely and competently perform power line work at the journeyed level.
• Valid Class 1A driver’s licence required.
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, inspect, install and repair lines and substations.
• Conduct regular inspections of transmission lines and switching facilities.
• Supervise apprentices and other staff as required.
