Jobgether is seeking a Power Systems Engineer II in Canada to perform advanced power system modeling, simulations, and transmission planning studies. You will support renewable energy integration, energy storage interconnections, and grid reliability across projects for diverse clients.

The role emphasizes developing technical models, preparing detailed reports, and coordinating with teammates and external partners. Remote or hybrid work options are available depending on the position.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power systems.
• 3+ years of professional power systems experience.
• Experience with power system impact studies (dynamic stability, load flow, steady-state, short-circuit).
• Experience with PSS/E, PSCAD, Aspen, and TARA; Python programming preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform comprehensive power system impact studies: steady-state, load flow, short-circuit, dynamics.
• Support NERC compliance through technical analyses (TPL-001-4).
• Execute generator interconnection studies including SSR assessments when required.
• Evaluate renewable energy and storage projects for grid compliance and interconnection.
• Develop and validate technical models/datasets and prepare detailed reports.
• Manage projects from planning to completion, meeting deadlines and budgets.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver solutions.
• Explore AI and automation to improve engineering workflows.
