Job summary

CoolIT Systems, a leader in Direct Liquid Cooling, is seeking a Factory Test Specialist to ensure the quality and performance of in‑process and finished products through robust testing. You will apply expertise in test processes, sensing, signal conditioning, and heat transfer to drive continuous improvement.

You will lead test procedure development, collaborate with design, manufacturing, and testing teams, and manage root‑cause investigations to meet quality and financial targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial testing, lab testing or electrical environment.
• Academic courses in testing, automation, controls, signal conditioning or related coursework.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety guidelines and wear PPE.
• Define and drive factory test requirements for NPI.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with design, test/qualification, manufacturing engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Document in‑process and end of line factory test procedures.
• Implement and maintain SPC for CTQ parameters and validate Cp/Cpk before production ramp.
• Lead root cause investigations for yield escapes and returns using 8D/DMAIC methods.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Role:

The Factory Test Specialist at CoolIT Systems is responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of in‑process and finished liquid cooling products through robust factory testing. This role applies industrial expertise in test processes, sensing techniques, signal conditioning, and electromechanical systems, with a strong understanding of heat transfer and fluid dynamics. The Specialist drives continuous improvement in factory test methods, improves first‑pass yield, and collaborates closely with the factory test team to meet financial targets and deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Safety and Compliance

• Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to create a safe working environment.
• Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection, as required.
• Actively participate in safety training sessions and promptly report any safety concerns or hazards.
• Comply with industry regulations and company policies to ensure proper handling of electro‑mechanical components and systems.

Quality

• Defining and driving factory test requirements during New Product Introduction (NPI) projects
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with design, test and qualification, manufacturing engineering and manufacturing teams, especially in DFM discussions
• Documenting in‑process and end of line factory test procedures for liquid cooling products
• Implementing in‑process and end of line factory test procedures for liquid cooling products in CoolIT MES system
• Designing manufacturing test equipment
• Lead root cause investigations for complex yield escapes and customer returns using structured problem‑solving methodologies (8D, DMAIC, Fishbone, Fault Tree Analysis).
• Define and maintain statistical process control (SPC) frameworks for critical‑to‑quality (CTQ) parameters.
• Establish Cp/Cpk capability requirements and validate process capability prior to production ramp.

WHO YOU ARE:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
• Minimum of 3 year of experience in industrial testing, lab testing or electrical environment
• Academic courses in the field of testing, automation, controls, signal conditioning or related course work

Preferred Qualifications:

Skills:

• Experience in high power testing (480 volts)
• Experience in electrical panel testing
• Proficiency in Python of similar programming language
• Proficiency in statistical methods and software (such as Minitab)
• Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and act on complex data sets
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially when dealing with cross‑functional teams
• High attention to detail and process‑oriented mindset
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced engineering/manufacturing environment
• Strong collaboration and problem‑solving abilities with a proactive approach.
