Job summary

CoolIT, An Ecolab Company, is seeking a Factory Test Infrastructure Engineer to design, develop, and implement manufacturing test infrastructure for high-flow, high-pressure systems and automation controls. You will define specifications, review layouts and P&IDs, and coordinate with contractors and suppliers to deliver safe, reliable, and scalable test environments across manufacturing.

Experience in mechanical and electrical engineering, with hands-on project coordination, is required to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of piping design, fluid systems, pumps, valves, and industrial utilities.
• Good understanding of high-power electrical applications and industrial power distribution.
• Working knowledge of industrial automation, PLCs, sensors, instrumentation, VFDs, control panels, and automated equipment.
• Experience working with contractors, engineering consulting companies, and equipment suppliers.
• Ability to read and review P&IDs, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment layouts.
• Strong project coordination, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Experience in manufacturing, factory testing, liquid cooling, thermal systems, or industrial equipment is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop factory test infrastructure including piping systems, fluid distribution systems, high-power electrical systems, and automation controls.
• Support development of large-scale, high-flow and high-pressure test systems involving pumps, valves, heat exchangers, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Develop and review equipment layouts, piping drawings, P&IDs, and infrastructure requirements.
• Define technical specifications and scopes of work for contractors and engineering consultants.
• Support PLC-based automation, instrumentation integration, data acquisition, interlocks, alarms, and automated test sequences.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and consulting engineering firms during design, installation, and commissioning.
• Support equipment installation, troubleshooting, commissioning, and infrastructure improvements.
• Ensure designs meet safety, reliability, maintainability, and manufacturing requirements.
