Wajax Limited is looking for a Generator Service Technician to deliver quality workmanship and technical knowledge for power generation units. The role requires testing and maintaining generators on-site and in the shop, focusing on customer service and safety. Candidates should have a Red Seal certification and at least 4 years of experience. This position offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and additional unique perks.
Responsible for providing quality workmanship, consistent service, and technical knowledge to the customers.
Performs all tasks related to the testing, diagnosing, repair, maintenance, and reconditioning of Power Generation units (gasoline, diesel, and natural gas) engine components typically on-site at customer location or in the shop.
The Role
The Candidate
Education : Trade certification, Journeyman Red Seal and / or the Heavy-Duty Mechanics Provincial Apprenticeship program, Power Generation Experience / Heavy Equipment Technician
Work Experience : Minimum 4 years’ experience as a generator service technician
Knowledge : Proficient written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to work with customers, exceptional customer service; demonstrated mechanical aptitude, analysis and problem solving skills
Other requirements : A valid Nova Scotia driver’s license in good standing, Comfortable using MS Office suite including Outlook suite, ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision. On call rotation. A valid passport and ability to travel to the US for factory training.
