Finning Canada is seeking a Service Supervisor (temporary) to lead our Power & Energy team, delivering safe, reliable service solutions and ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. You will guide technicians on day-to-day service execution from planning through completion.

This role emphasizes coaching and development, requires strong safety program knowledge, and offers a Monday–Friday start with potential to become permanent; located on-site in Edmonton.

Qualifikationen

• Journeyperson certification as Heavy Equipment Technician or Electrician.
• 4+ years with Caterpillar equipment, engines, power generation, or heavy equipment.
• Dealership experience in Power & Energy or rental environments.
• Demonstrated leadership with coaching and development.
• Strong knowledge of safety programs, NSC requirements, JHAs.
• Understanding of Caterpillar warranty and service processes; solid troubleshooting.
• Business and financial acumen for operational decisions.

Aufgaben

• Lead a safety-first culture aligning with safety standards and JHAs.
• Spend at least 80% of time on the shop floor supporting safety, quality, and productivity.
• Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and development for technicians/apprentices.
• Manage repair execution from planning through completion with reviews.
• Ensure jobs are completed right the first time by resolving tooling/parts/warranty issues.
• Monitor technician productivity, assign resources, and adjust manpower.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to report findings and scope changes.
• Drive operational excellence through SOPs and quality standards.
