Job summary

MT Concept inc. in Laval, QC is seeking a power brake operator in metal fabrication to join its production team. This is a permanent, full-time on-site role offering competitive hourly wages and 40 hours per week.

Candidates should have 1 year to less than 2 years of experience and hold a Registered Apprenticeship certificate. You will read specifications, set up and operate metalworking machines, and perform quality checks on formed parts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Check products for correct shapes, dimensions and other specifications.
• Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment.
• Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products.
• Investigate problems to fix or make minor repair.
• Lay out, set up and operate one or more light or heavy metalworking machines.
• Operate presses or other forging machines to perform hot or cold forging to shape or form metal.
• Position heated or cooled metal pieces on die of press or other forging machinery.
• Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions.
