We are currently seeking a Power BI Developer - REMOTE in Canada to join our team in Toronto, Ontario (CA-ON), Canada (CA).

The ideal candidate should have 8+ years relevant experience. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing business problems to determine the best BI solutions, maintaining and growing knowledge of enterprise data assets and processes.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Develop reports and dashboards on Power BI.
2. Build Analysis Services reporting models.
3. Write complex DAX functions in Power BI and perform transformations in Power BI Query Editor.
4. Create visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI Desktop.
5. Connect, import, and transform data sources for Business Intelligence.
6. Translate data into reports and visuals through analytical thinking.
7. Implement row-level security and understand application security layers in Power BI.
8. Develop DAX queries and perform advanced calculations on datasets.
9. Design methodology and project documentation.
10. Develop tabular and multidimensional models compatible with data warehouse standards.
11. Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams regarding requirements.

Required Skills:

1. 6+ years of experience as a Power BI Developer.
2. 2+ years in data-specific roles.
3. Strong understanding of data models in Power BI.
4. Experience with row-level security and embedding Power BI in applications.
5. Knowledge of DirectQuery & Import options in Power BI and their appropriate use cases.
6. Familiarity with Microsoft BI Stack and data analytics.
7. Software development skills.
