Simplyhired in Canada seeks a Powder Coater to prepare, coat, and finish metal components using powder coating equipment. You will work closely with a small team to meet safety and quality standards in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include cleaning, masking, operating equipment, applying powder, curing, inspecting finishes, and maintaining tools. Reliable, detail-oriented candidates with ability to follow procedures and work safely will thrive.

Qualifications

• Experience in powder coating or industrial painting is an asset.
• Knowledge of surface preparation techniques preferred.

• Monitor curing times and temperatures for quality coatings.

• Maintain equipment and perform basic maintenance.

Job Overview

The Powder Coater is responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing metal components using powder coating equipment to meet required quality, safety, and production standards. This role supports day-to-day manufacturing operations and requires attention to detail, reliability, and a strong commitment to workplace safety. The Powder Coater works both independently and as part of a small, collaborative team to deliver high-quality finished products..

Duties

• Prepare metal parts for powder coating, including cleaning, masking, sandblasting, and hanging parts
• Operate powder coating equipment, ovens, and spray guns according to specifications
• Apply powder evenly to ensure proper coverage, thickness, and finish quality
• Monitor curing times and temperatures to ensure coatings meet quality standards
• Inspect finished products for defects such as runs, thin spots, or imperfections
• Perform touch-ups or rework as required
• Maintain powder coating equipment and perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance
• Follow production schedules and work efficiently to meet deadlines
• Keep work area clean, organized, and free of hazards
• Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding production issues or quality concerns

Skills

• Previous experience in powder coating or industrial painting is an asset (training may be provided)
• Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and coating processes preferred
• Ability to read and follow work orders and production instructions
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good time management and reliability
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment

Pay: $18.50-$35.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
