Job summary

About the Role: Postal Clerk – Retail and Operations

As a Postal Clerk in Gaspé, you'll handle a mix of sales and customer service duties, mail handling, and operational tasks. You'll be expected to operate a computer point‑of‑sale system, maintain floor displays, conduct merchandising and inventory control, and keep up with knowledge of postal products and services. No two shifts will look exactly the same.

This role also has a physical component. You'll be required to stand for up to 3.5 hours at a time, handle mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lbs), and carry items weighing up to 15.9 kg (35 lbs). Bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying are all part of the regular workday. You may also work days, evenings, overnights, and weekends as this is an on‑call position.
