As an on-call delivery agent, your day begins at the depot where you'll sort and prepare the day's deliveries before loading up a Canada Post postal vehicle and heading out on your route. You'll be the face of the organisation in the community, ensuring customers and businesses receive their mail and parcels on time. As an on-call postal clerk, you'll work inside a sorting facility handling everything from scanning and sequencing mail items to transfers and dispatching of parcels — with shifts that may include evenings, nights, and weekends.
Both streams require a solid work ethic and the ability to stay active throughout the day. You'll be expected to follow safe work practices, complete required documentation, and contribute to a smooth-running operation whether you're solo on a route or part of a larger facility team. Physical stamina, reliability, and a willingness to work on-call are key to succeeding in this position.
This position offers a wage of $25.37 per hour, along with competitive pay consistent with Canada Post's standards.
