Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. is seeking a reliable customer service associate to support the retail postal outlet in delivering health, beauty and convenience services.

You will provide prompt service at the checkout, greet customers, and maintain an orderly and welcoming environment. The role emphasizes accurate cash handling, scanning items, and encouraging PC Optimum sign-ups while upholding store policies and health standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service at the checkout and engage with customers.
• Maintain a neat and organized checkout area and ensure accurate scanning/data entry.
• Accurately accounts for cash, coupons, lottery, and PC Optimum; request PC Optimum card during transactions.
• Greet customers and maintain a warm, approachable demeanor.
• Ensure proper documentation for receipts and returns; assist with merchandising and loss prevention.
• Follow uniform policy, dress code, health and safety regulations, and store policies.

Summary

To provide prompt and superior customer service at the retail postal outlet. Maintain excellent customer service and checkout area

Duties & Responsibilities

CUSTOMER SERVICE

• Provides excellent customer service and positively engages with all customers
• Maintains a neat and organized checkout area
• Greets all customers and displays warm demeanor
• Accurately scans or enters product data
• Accurately accounts for cash and coupon, lottery, and PC Optimum
• Asks for customer’s PC Optimum Card during each transaction

Merchandising

• Ensures proper documentation completed with respect to customers receipt and return of goods
• Merchandises and maintains designated areas (i.e. facing, signing, labeling, etc)

Loss Prevention

• Ensures loss prevention Standards are followed
• Controls cash, lottery, and stamp inventory

General

• Presents proper image to the public in accordance with Uniform Policy and Dress Code Guidelines
• Complies with all health and safety regulations
• Complies with all store policies and procedures
• Ensures the standards of housekeeping and image are maintained
