Job summary

Manulife John Hancock in Canada is seeking a Lead, Portfolio Management & Governance to strengthen prioritization, governance, and delivery across the Canada Operations portfolio. You will drive consistency and disciplined execution to align with strategic objectives and optimize resource use across more than 1,000 line items.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in portfolio management and governance, including prioritization, oversight and reporting.
• 7+ years of combined experience in project, program, or portfolio management functions, including governance, prioritization, and executive decision support.

Responsibilities

• Lead, enable and champion our existing portfolio management and governance practices, including prioritization support, delivery health oversight, and decision support aligned to strategic objectives and resource allocation frameworks.
• Own Portfolio-level reporting to stakeholders, including Senior Leadership
• Partner with stakeholders to embed data-driven, evidence-based decision-making into portfolio planning, resource management, and initiative sequencing
• Support senior leadership decision making by providing clear insights, recommendations, and trade off assessments in governance and leadership forums
• Uphold governance frameworks, ensuring consistent application, awareness, and adherence across initiatives
• Support the roll-out of Resource Management across the Canada Operations portfolio
• Support the annual planning process, ensuring alignment of resources with strategic objectives
• Support the continuous improvement and maturity journey of Portfolio tools and practices
