We’re growing!! And looking for passionate, driven and energetic candidates to join our team for the position of Portfolio Manager for our commercial and retail properties located near Montreal Quebec.

Note: This position will be remote/work from home but requires the ability to easily travel to properties located near Montreal, Quebec.

Job Description:
Looking for a chance to make your mark in a fast-paced, professional and fun environment? As a Portfolio Manager, you will have the responsibility of professionally managing the day-to-day operations of commercial/retail properties in a portfolio including efficient and profitable operation, while ensuring ongoing tenant satisfaction and retention. This role is key in maintaining Skyline’s goal of creating meaningful value and an exceptional experience for our customers, our people, and our communities. What you will be doing:

1. Management of portfolio of assigned properties with diligence and efficiency in order to promote a sustainable, effective and profitable operation.
2. Regularly schedule visits to individual properties to monitor the activities of tenants and contractors.
3. Compile and create annual operating budgets for each property in the portfolio.
4. Complete monthly reporting of portfolio status, including financial results, accounts receivable analysis, operational issues, and other matters.
5. Respond to all tenant inquiries in a timely manner.
6. Prepare, tender and recommend service contracts and agreements according to standard procurement processes and within approved limits.
7. Available for calls after hours and able to respond to after-hours emergencies.

What we look for:

1. Administrative experience with all aspects of commercial/retail property management.
2. Ability to develop and prepare property agreements.
3. Knowledge of principles and practices of property management and of applicable federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations.
4. Ability to competently read and understand financial statements.
5. Knowledge of and skilled in supervisory practices and principles.
6. Effective leadership of others, including suppliers, tradespeople, and subordinates.
7. Ability to foresee potential problems and use good judgment to create innovative solutions.
8. Minimum 2 to 3 years post-secondary education and 3-5 years of related workplace experience or 7 years of equivalent work experience.
9. Enrollment in or completion of a recognized property management certificate program such as RPA, FMA or CPM is an asset.
10. Valid driver’s license.
