Job summary

The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company is seeking a Business Portfolio Manager to lead and support portfolio management activities across the SLGI portfolio. You will partner with Finance, Journey and Platform teams, driving governance, planning, and benefits realization to strengthen portfolio transparency and execution.

Working closely with the Director, Business Portfolio Management, you will translate business needs into compelling business cases and future-state solutions, while guiding

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in portfolio management or related field.
• Solid experience in financial forecasting, variance analysis and budgeting.
• Strong ability to interpret complex financial data and translate into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence senior leaders.
• Experience with governance, planning, prioritization and executive reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own key areas of the SLGI Initiative portfolio including governance and financial oversight.
• Lead portfolio financial management: forecasting, actuals analysis, cost allocation, capitalization and reconciliation.
• Own Investments Registry and ensure alignment across portfolios and reports.
• Lead annual and quarterly portfolio planning including intake and prioritization.
• Monitor portfolio health and drive resolution of issues and risks.
• Lead portfolio governance and executive reporting with decision materials and forums.
• Drive BPM operating model improvements through automation, dashboards and AI-enabled tools.
