Job summary

Precision Medicine Group in Canada is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst – Clinical Solutions Portfolio to partner with Clinical Solutions leadership and drive portfolio-level forecasting, budgeting, and financial controls across departments.

You will own analyses, oversee project financials from award to closeout, develop KPIs for trial operations, and deliver executive-ready insights using Excel and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with ~5 years related experience.
• Experience in project finance, FP&A, or operational finance preferred, especially in CRO/clinical settings.
• Strong analytical and presentation skills; ability to engage with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Own portfolio-level financial analysis for Clinical Solutions departments, including budget health, forecast accuracy, margin performance, and risk identification.
• Lead project financial oversight across the full project lifecycle from award through closeout, ensuring adherence to controls.
• Perform variance analysis (actuals vs. forecast vs. budget) to identify drivers of change, scope creep, and risks.
• Partner with project finance teams to ensure data integrity feeding portfolio reporting.
• Support and enhance departmental forecasting and planning with clear assumptions.
• Monitor budget consumption, earned value indicators, and change order impacts across portfolios.
• Provide forward-looking insights to support proactive financial decision-making by operational leadership.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes, controls, and reporting standards.
• Develop and maintain trial operations KPIs and measures linking operational performance to financial outcomes.
• Leverage Excel and Power BI to create scalable dashboards for portfolio governance and executive review.
• Translate complex financial data into clear insights for non-finance stakeholders.
• Act as trusted finance partner to Clinical Solutions heads for planning and reviews.
• Prepare and deliver executive-ready materials summarizing portfolio performance, risks, and recommendations.
• Support ad hoc analyses and special projects requested by Finance/Clinical Operations/executive management.
• Collaborate with PM, Clinical Ops, Data Management, and Finance to align operations and reporting.
