Nordex Group in Canada is seeking a Logistics Port Lead Supervisor to coordinate port, laydown yard, and cargo activities for wind turbine components. You will act as the onsite representative ensuring safe, compliant vessel discharge, inventory management, and contractor performance.

You will lead safety-focused operations across terminals and storage areas, collaborate with stevedores and transport providers, and drive continuous improvement while supporting North American renewable energy

Formación

• Leadership and supervision of contractors and teams.
• Experience in port operations and heavy-lift logistics.
• Strong knowledge of vessel discharge operations.
• Ability to travel as required.
• Proficiency with MS Office and inventory systems.
• Fluent communication in English; French an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Lead onsite vessel discharge operations from vessel arrival through unloading.
• Coordinate daily operations with stevedores, crane operators, terminal personnel, vessel crews, transportation providers, and port authorities.
• Monitor vessel discharge progress and productivity to maintain project schedules.
• Verify safe handling and movement of wind turbine components including blades, towers, nacelles, hubs, drivetrains, and auxiliary equipment.
• Ensure components are discharged, stored, preserved, and released per project requirements and procedures.
• Oversee storage yard operations, inventory management, and component tracking.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and field inspections promoting a zero-incident safety culture.
• Investigate incidents and support corrective and preventative actions.
• Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for logistics operations and stakeholder communications.
• Provide operational updates, identify risks, and support mitigation and recovery planning.
