Job summary

Four Seasons Whistler is seeking a Full-Time Pool Supervisor to lead daily poolside operations, ensure water quality and safety, and oversee attendants, servers, and bartenders as needed. This role blends hospitality with technical oversight in a luxury resort setting.

You will work with engineering and housekeeping to maintain standards, coordinate supplies, and participate in staff meetings. A background in food and beverage, CPR, Serving It Right, and a BC driver’s license are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Leadership experience is required.
  • Experience skiing or snowboarding is preferred.
  • Retail or customer service experience is required.
  • Must hold a clean BC Driver’s license.
  • Prior food and beverage experience is advantageous.
  • Serving It Right Certificate is required.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in Canada is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Execute tasks of a Pool Attendant, Server or Bartender as needed.
  • Follow up on service procedures.
  • Supervise quality and efficiency of food and service.
  • Coordinate with Engineering to maintain water quality and pool operation.
  • Order supplies to ensure poolside par level.
  • Coordinate training with outside contractors for high service levels.
  • Maintain poolside as a safe environment per health regulations.
  • Oversee cleanliness of fitness area, pool deck and related spaces.
  • Respond to hotel emergencies or safety situations.
  • Perform tasks as assigned by management.
  • Maintain a friendly, unobtrusive manner with guests.
  • Use all relevant computer systems for departments.
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss policies and sales opportunities.
  • Maintain logs for management handover.
  • Report equipment deficiencies to appropriate departments.

About The Role

Join our dynamic, diverse team at Four Seasons Resort & Residences Whistler as the Full-Time Pool Supervisor.

What You Will Do
  • Be able to execute the tasks of a Pool Attendant, Server and/or Bartender as needed
  • Followup on service procedures
  • Supervise the consistency of quality and efficiency of food and service
  • Work closely with Engineering to maintain proper water quality and mechanical operation of the swimming and whirl pools
  • Order supplies and amenities to ensure the Poolside par level allow for smooth operation
  • Coordinate personal training with outside contractors to guarantee a high level of service and adequate availability
  • Maintain the Poolside as a safe environment and in accordance with all health department regulations
  • Oversee the cleanliness of the fitness area, pool deck, patio terrace and bartenders’ cabana area and coordinate special requirements with Housekeeping, Laundry, Stewarding and Engineering
  • Respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation
  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff
  • Maintain a friendly but unobtrusive manner with all guests
  • Utilize all computer systems relevant to the departments
  • Participate in regular staff meetings to keep employees informed of hotel policies and changes as well as ways to increase sales and service
  • Maintain a log (Lotus Notes) with important information to be passed onto management
  • Ensure all equipment is kept in perfect working condition and reports any deficiencies to the proper department
What You Bring

  • A current Serving It Right Certificate.
  • Certification in CPR
  • Must have excellent verbal and writtenskills.
  • Ability to work in Canada

Schedule & Hours

As our hotel is open 24/7, 365 days a year, we expect our Pool Supervisor to be flexible in working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
