Safran Landing Systems in Mirabel, QC, is hiring a skilled technician to grind attachment points on main landing gear parts with precision using manual tools or semi-automatic equipment.

You will prepare parts, inspect with calipers and micrometers, and complete QA records while contributing to safety, quality, costs, and on-time deliveries. A strong eye for detail and autonomy are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required (equivalence certificate not accepted).
• Experience in manual work or manufacturing.
• Experience in manual grinding is an asset.
• Ability to read blueprints is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform grinding of attachment points on main landing gear components with manual tools or semi-automatic equipment.

Safran Landing Systems is a subsidiary of Safran Landing Systems, a world leader in landing and braking systems for aircraft. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to the manufacturing of major components of landing gear for Airbus A320, A330, and A350 models, as well as the Boeing 787. It features state-of-the-art equipment for machining, polishing, and special processes, including heat treatment, shot peening, and surface treatments.

You will perform, using manual air tools or semi-automatic equipment, the grinding of attachment points of the main landing gear components, according to specifications. These operations require a high level of precision to create the exact dimensions to accommodate other mechanical parts later.

You Will Also Be Required To

• prepare the part and, if necessary, perform assembly on the equipment
• inspect the parts using measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications
• complete the appropriate quality assurance documentation
• contribute to the continuous improvement of operations and to achieving objectives in terms of safety, quality, costs, and on-time deliveries.

Evening shift: from Monday to Thursday from 2:20 PM to 12:20 AM.

Note: Depending on the collective agreement rules, the position may change shifts (day, evening, night, or weekend).

• The compensation for this position starts between $27.85 and $37.87 per hour, depending on your skills, experience, and qualifications. With internal training and your progression in acquiring job-related skills, the hourly wage will increase up to a maximum of $42.04.
• $1.30/hr bonus
