Job summary

Interac is seeking a Lead for Government Relations & External Affairs to drive policy strategy and regulatory advocacy. You will work cross-functionally with senior leaders to align government affairs with enterprise priorities and revenue objectives.

You bring 10+ years in government relations, a strong command of policy analytics, and the ability to translate complex developments into actionable guidance for executives. A bilingual FR/EN background is an asset, with a hybrid work model offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public policy, political science, law or related field.
• 10+ years in government relations, public policy or regulatory affairs.
• Experience advising senior decision-makers on complex files.
• Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead policy and regulatory files from strategy through submissions.
• Monitor policy developments and translate into business implications.
• Direct advocacy planning ahead of legislative milestones.
• Develop briefing notes, policy papers and external communications.
• Mentor team members and coordinate cross-functional work.
